Geraldine McCaughrean, author of Overlook's adaptation of John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress for children, is the author of the first "officially sanctioned" sequel to J. M. Barrie's children's classic Peter Pan. McCaughrean won the honor to write the sequel in a highly publicized international competition in 2004. The sequel, Peter Pan in Scarlet will be published in the US by Simon & Schuster and takes place 20 years after the action in the original... you can read more about it here.
