According to The Book Standard, Angelina Jolie has agreed to star in a film adaptation of Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, and there are rumors that there might be a role for Brad Pitt as well (given page count of the book--1,100 pages--one would think they could find a place to fit him in somewhere).
Fans of Rand who want to start studying up now are advised to check out a copy of Overlook's (mercifully brief) illustrated life of Ayn Rand, penned by the Ayn Rand Institute's head archivist Jeff Britting. Britting presents a concise account of Rand's life, illustrated with rare photos, documents and manuscript pages, many of them never before seen outside the confines of the ARI library.
