The Elvis Birthplace and Museum opened in 1971 and is the most visited attraction in Mississippi with over 100,000 visitors every year. Another Tupelo Elvis site worth seeing, according to Victor, is the Tupelo Hardware Store (at the time Booth's Hardware), where Elvis bought his first guitar.
