On the sixth day of Christmas, Overlook Press gave to me...

It is hard to believe, but with half of December behind us, we are quickly closing in on the holidays. Is all of your holiday shopping complete, neatly wrapped and ribboned underneath the Christmas tree? Or are you still running around dodging crazed shoppers and racking your brain over what to get your second cousin, twice removed?

Overlook Press may not be able to help you track down that last Xbox Kinect, but if you're stumped on what to get your eccentric uncle who wears bedazzled leisure suits to your holiday party and refuses to respond to anything other than "The King," stay tuned. Seriously, we can help.

Today is Day 6 of the Overlook 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway, which, like December, is half over! If you are just tuning in, we've already given away five incredible prize packs including books, posters, and t-shirts for True Grit fans, designers, adrenaline junkies, newshounds, and the children at heart. Lucky for you, we still have a haul of exciting goodies ready for wrapping.
Last minute holiday shoppers: sit down, relax, and read on. On this sixth day of Overlook Christmas, we bring you three beautiful books perfect for holiday gifting, including: Elvis in Vegas, New York in the 70s, and Street Knowledge. You're welcome.

Elvis in Vegas by Paul Lichter shines a bright spotlight on one of the most fascinating times in the life and career of Elvis Presley: the Vegas years. Written by the world's leading "Elvisologist," Paul Lichter, it is the only book to focus exclusively on the Vegas years, which ran from the late 1960s to his death in 1977. With 300 full-color and black-and-white photographs--many of which have never been seen--this book is a must have for Presley fans.

New York in the 70s by Allan Tannenbaum is a personal collection of photographs that documents an exciting chapter in New York City's history. Award winning photojournalist Alan Tannenbaum shares his remarkable body of work that serves as a lasting record of that era's resolution of ideas, trends, and movements that had begun in the 1960s. A unique and often unseen portrait of 1970s New York, this book is the perfect gift for anyone who rocked out to The Who, danced at Studio 54, or loved the Lower East Side before it was cool.

Street Knowledge by King Adz is an eye-catching insider's guide to old school graffiti legends, avant-garde street artists, filmmakers, DJs, designers, writers, and poets who have influenced urban culture. From the groundbreaking New York artists of the 1980s to the unique work of modern-day Iranians, this book shows how street culture has penetrated every aspect of modern life. A perfect gift for those who love Bansky or Irvine Welsh and want to know about the cutting-edge talents who have shaped urban cool.
