The Detroit News is holding a contest giving away a free copy of THE WEEK-END BOOK! I'll withhold any cracks about spending a weekend in bucolic Detroit, because well, I like Detroit. Home of Stevie Wonder, the Model T, and the resurgent Detroit Tigers...and I live in Brooklyn (happy birthday Mr. Whitman!), so I don't have much of a soapbox to stand on there.
