Peter Quinn, author of
HOUR OF THE CAT, will be moderating the 8th annual Russo Lecture at
Fordham University on
Wednesday, April 26th at 6:00pm. The topic is "
IRISH IN NEW YORK: Then and Now" featuring
Edward T. O'Donnell,
Linda Dowling Almeida, and
Terry Golway, and they will be recounting the lively history of the Irish in New York from the Famine, through the Civil War, the Tammany Era, the Fenians and World War I and on up to our present day.
Peter Quinn is currently at work on a collection of essays on the history of the Irish in urban America.
Admission is free, and it will be held at the
McNally Amphitheater at
140 West 62nd Street in NYC.
