A vaguely psychedelic Tuesday

We've got a new look here at the Overlook blog today. I found this great repository of William S. Burroughs jacket art through the years at WFMU's excellent blog, and thought it vaguely fit in with the notion of 'new looks.'

As for something that vaguely fits in with the notion of Burroughs, I direct you with Brion Gysin's novel THE PROCESS, a hash-infused hallucinogenic journey across the Sahara.

Burroughs and Gysin collaborated on several books and pioneered the cut-up method together in Tangiers in the 1960s, and is also famous for inventing the Dreammachine.
