Paul Cartledge will be delivering the Prentice Lecture at Princeton University on Monday, September 25th at 4:30pm in Bowl 1 at Robertson Hall. The topic of the lecture is "Alexander the Great: A Hero for all Seasons."
Cartledge, the preeminent scholar of all things Greek, is the author of ALEXANDER, as well as THE SPARTANS, which PBS adapted into a miniseries in 2003. This November his latest book THERMOPYLAE will hit the shelves. An early starred review from Kirkus has this to say:
