Robert Edelstein's FULL THROTTLE: The Life and Fast Times of NASCAR Legend Curtis Turner won the American Auto Racing Writers & Broadcasters Association’s (AARWBA) award for BEST MOTORSPORTS BOOK OF 2005.
The prize was announced over Memorial Day weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway before this year’s Indy 500, which I hear was quite the nail-biter this weekend.
Curtis Turner is also the marquee inductee to the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America this year (the ceremony is in August), and will be the subject of a 1 hour documentary on the Speed Channel cable network, due to hit the air in October.
Congratulations, Rob!
